Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Dr. Sarish Sharma's clinic, consultations, procedures, and injections.

General Questions
Yes, we provide in-person consultations at the clinic. During your visit, Dr. Sarish Sharma will explain your condition in detail — what the problem is, why it has occurred, and what the most appropriate course of treatment is. We believe in clear, patient-centred communication so you fully understand your diagnosis before any treatment begins.
Yes — we have an in-house pharmacy at the clinic. Medicines prescribed during your consultation are available on-site, so you can collect everything you need in a single visit without having to visit a separate chemist.
The clinic offers a range of non-surgical procedures including cast application for fractures and injuries, intra-articular injections for joint lubrication, nerve blocks for pain relief, intramuscular injections for vitamin supplementation, and regenerative treatments such as PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy. Most procedures can be performed on the same day as your consultation.
Treatments & Procedures
Joint lubrication therapy uses Synvisc-One — a hyaluronic acid-based injection — delivered directly into the joint to restore its natural cushioning and reduce friction. It is used primarily for osteoarthritis of the knee, but is also effective for inflammation and pain in the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, and ankle joints. The injection reduces pain, improves movement, and can delay or avoid the need for surgery.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy involves drawing a small sample of the patient's own blood, separating the platelets using a centrifuge, and infusing those platelets — enriched with natural growth factors — back into the affected joint or tissue. This stimulates the body's own healing response, reduces inflammation, and promotes tissue repair — all without surgery or foreign substances.
We offer targeted intramuscular vitamin injections to correct common deficiencies that contribute to joint pain, nerve inflammation, and slow recovery. This includes Vitamin D3 for bone health and immunity, Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) and Pyridoxine (B6) for nerve function and inflammation control, and bone density injections such as Prolia for patients with osteoporosis. All four aspects — inflammation, Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12/B3, and bone mineral density — are assessed and addressed in a single session where needed.
A nerve block delivers anti-inflammatory medication directly around a compressed or irritated nerve, providing targeted and rapid pain relief. It is used for conditions such as sciatica, cervical radiculopathy, and other nerve entrapment syndromes. The injection is given intramuscularly or peri-neurally — not intravenously — and is both safe and effective for diagnosing and treating nerve-related pain.

Yes. Dr. Sarish Sharma's clinic offers professional home physiotherapy across Delhi NCR — including Shortwave Diathermy, Ultrasonic Therapy, Infrared, Laser Therapy, and active/passive mobilisation. This is ideal for post-surgical patients, neurological conditions, and elderly patients who cannot travel to the clinic.
Injections & Safety
No — none of the injections are intravenous. The injections used at this clinic are either intramuscular (into the muscle) or intra-articular (into the joint). Vitamin injections — including Vitamin D3, B3, and B6 — are given intramuscularly. Joint lubrication and anti-inflammatory injections are given intra-articularly, directly into the affected joint.
Yes, the injections are safe. Intramuscular injections for vitamins and anti-inflammatory treatment have no significant side effects when administered correctly. Intra-articular injections — used for joint lubrication and osteoarthritis — are performed under strict aseptic precautions, eliminating any risk of infection or complication. The procedure is carried out in a sterile clinical environment by an experienced specialist.
Intra-articular injections can be administered into the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle. They are used both for reducing inflammation and for joint lubrication in osteoarthritis. The most common application is for knee osteoarthritis, where Synvisc-One injections restore the natural cushioning of the joint and significantly reduce pain and stiffness.
Oral painkillers treat the perception of pain but do nothing to address the underlying cause. Targeted injections deliver medication directly to the source of pain — the inflamed joint, compressed nerve, or damaged tissue — at a fraction of the systemic dose. This means faster relief, fewer side effects, and treatment of the root cause rather than merely masking the symptom.
Surgery & Non-Surgical Options
Surgery is always the last resort at Dr. Sarish Sharma's clinic. Every patient receives a thorough non-surgical evaluation first — and surgery is only recommended when conservative management has genuinely failed or when the nature of the injury makes surgical intervention unavoidable. The vast majority of patients achieve excellent outcomes without surgery.
Yes — in many cases. Patients with mild to moderate arthritis can often be kept comfortable and functional for 5–10+ years with regular joint lubrication injections (Synvisc-One), PRP therapy, physiotherapy, and lifestyle management — avoiding or significantly delaying joint replacement. Even in advanced cases, injections can provide meaningful quality-of-life improvement for patients who are not surgical candidates.
Yes — in the majority of cases. Research shows that over 90% of disc herniations improve with conservative management within 6–12 weeks. The disc material is gradually reabsorbed by the body, and nerve inflammation resolves with appropriate treatment including epidural steroid injections, traction therapy, and physiotherapy. Surgery is reserved for the minority of cases where neurological deficits progress.
